Bangladesh fielded the same XI for the sixth straight ODI

Toss South Africa opt to bat vs Bangladesh

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma decided to bat first against Bangladesh in the series-deciding third ODI in Centurion. Bavuma said that South Africa will have to see out the first hour, and then try to get a big score in the first innings.
The hosts are without the injured Wayne Parnell, who pulled up midway through his third over in the second ODI. Dwaine Pretorius replaces him in the XI. The visitors go into the game with the same XI, for the sixth consecutive ODI.
Bangladesh won the first match handsomely, their first against South Africa in South Africa. The home side then bounced back in the second game in Johannesburg.
