India Women call up Meghna Singh, Yastika Bhatia, Renuka Singh for Australia tour

India Women have called up two uncapped players in Railways medium-pacer Meghna Singh and Baroda left-hand batter Yastika Bhatia for all three formats for their tour of Australia in September and October. Meanwhile Rajeshwari Gayakwad, who was out with an injury for India’s tour of England, returned to the fold.

India will begin the tour with three ODIs, after which they will play a day-night Test in Perth. There will be three T20Is to conclude the tour. The Indian selectors picked the same squad for the Test match and the ODI series, with Mithali Raj leading an 18-strong contingent. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the T20I squad, which has 17 members.

T20I squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (capt), Smriti Mandhana (vice-capt), Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, Yastika Bhatia, Shikha Pandey, Meghna Singh, Pooja Vastrakar, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Poonam Yadav, Richa Ghosh (wk), Harleen Deol, Arundhati Reddy, Radha Yadav, Renuka Singh Thakur.
