Toss Bangladesh chose to bat vs Ireland

Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan decided to bat first against Ireland in the third T20I in Chattogram. They have already secured the T20I series by winning the first two matches, both by massive margins, making this match a dead rubber. There must have been some thought about fielding, since they won the first two games batting first, but Bangladesh have opted for first strike again.

There was a debut for legspinner Rishad Hossain, an interesting choice given how little he has bowled in competitive cricket this season. Rishad didn’t play a single game in the BPL this year. He has now become the third specialist legspinner to play for Bangladesh in T20Is. The other two were Jubair Hossain and Aminul Islam Biplob.
Rishad and Shoriful Islam took the place of Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mustafizur Rahman in the Bangladesh XI. Left-arm spinner Matthew Humphreys is also making his debut for the visitors, taking the place of quick bowler Graham Hume.

Bangladesh: 1 Litton Das (wk), 2 Rony Talukdar, 3 Najmul Hossain Shanto, 4 Shakib Al Hasan (capt), 5 Towhid Hridoy, 6 Shamim Hossain, 7 Rishad Hossain, 8 Nasum Ahmed, 9 Taskin Ahmed, 10 Hasan Mahmud, 11 Shoriful Islam
Ireland: 1 Paul Stirling (capt), 2 Ross Adair, 3 Lorcan Tucker (wk), 4 Harry Tector, 5 Curtis Campher, 6 George Dockrell, 7 Gareth Delany, 8 Mark Adair, 9 Fionn Hand, 10 Matt Humphreys, 11 Ben White
