South Africa leave out Lara Goodall; Pakistan bring in Ghulam Fatima in place of Anam Amin

Toss Pakistan chose to bowl against South Africa

Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof chose to chase on a new pitch at the Bay Oval with her team in search of their first points at the Women’s World Cup 2022. The fourth match played at this venue will be contested on a fresh surface with plenty of green grass and assistance expected for the seamers.
Pakistan have three of those options in Diana Baig, Fatima Sana and Aliya Riaz, and also gave themselves an extra attacking spinner in the form of legspinner Ghulam Fatima, who has been included in place of left-arm spinner Anam Amin. Pakistan are currently at the bottom of the table after losing their first two matches, the same as Bangladesh and England, but with a poorer net run-rate.
South Africa’s only change from their victory against Bangladesh was in the batting line-up, where Lizelle Lee returned to the XI after a delayed arrival in New Zealand following the birth of her first child. Lee will walk out with Laura Wolvaardt at the top of the order, with Tazmin Brits moving to No. 3. Lara Goodall is out of the XI. South Africa have stuck with their four-pronged seam attack with two spin options in captain Sune Luus and Chloe Tryon.

South Africa: 1 Laura Wolvaardt, 2 Lizelle Lee, 3 Tazmin Brits, 4 Sune Luus (capt), 5 Mignon du Preez, 6 Marizanne Kapp, 7 Chloe Tryon, 8 Trisha Chetty (wk), 9 Shabnim Ismail, 10 Masabata Klaas, 11 Ayabonga Khaka

Pakistan: 1 Sidra Ameen, 2 Nahida Khan, 3 Bismah Maroof (capt), 4 Omaima Sohail, 5 Nida Dar, 6 Aliya Riaz, 7 Fatima Sana, 8 Diana Baig, 9 Sidra Nawaz (wk), 10 Nashra Sandhu, 11 Ghulam Fatima
