Toss Bangladesh opt to bat vs Australia

Bangladesh chose to bat first in the fifth and final T20I of their series against Australia, having made two changes to their XI from the previous game. After using the same set of players for a record four consecutive matches, the hosts replaced Shamim Hossain and Shoriful Islam with Mohammad Saifuddin and Mosaddek Hossain.
Australia too made as many changes to the side that won the fourth T20I on Saturday. They rested Josh Hazlewood and Andrew Tye, and brought in an extra spinner instead. Legspinner Adam Zampa and right-arm pacer Nathan Ellis, who had made his international debut in the third match against Bangladesh, returned to the side.

The visitors trail 1-3 with only today’s match to go in the tour, having now lost five successive T20I series.
