The pitch is expected to get better for batting, so Sri Lanka may have their work cut out for them in setting a good total
Toss: West Indies chose to bowl vs Sri Lanka
West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl in the second ODI against Sri Lanka at North Sound, as they look to seal a series win and their first pair of consecutive ODI victories since 2014. The pitch is expected to get better for batting as the day wears on, so Sri Lanka may have their work cut out for them in setting a competitive total.
The home side has made no changes, though the visitors have sprung two. The first was enforced, after Angelo Mathews flew back to Sri Lanka to “attend to a family matter,” essentially removing himself from the rest of the tour. In his place comes in batsman Oshada Fernando. The experienced allrounder Thisara Perera came in for Kamindu Mendis.
